Mutual Recognition of Licensing
The
Mutual Recognition legislation enacted by the Commonwealth and each
State / Territory Parliament in 1992 and 1993 entitles people who
are licensed in any other State or Territory to also be registered
in an equivalent category in Tasmania.
The procedure is that the person who is licensed in the other state
or territory may lodge a written notice with this Board seeking
to be registered in connection with the equivalent occupation in
accordance with the Mutual Recognition principle.
The
notice must:-
(a)
State that the person is licensed in the occupation in the first
State and specify that State;
(b)
State the occupation in which licensing is sought and that it is
being sought in accordance with the Mutual Recognition principle;
(c)
Specify all the States in which the person has substantive licensing
in the equivalent occupation;
(d)
State that the person is not the subject of disciplinary proceedings
in any State (including any preliminary investigations or action
that might lead to disciplinary proceedings) in relation to those
occupations; |
