renewals 2025-2026

Application for Licence (Renewal)

The Property Agents Board (the Board) is the statutory authority responsible for property agents in Tasmania.

The Board has determined that the licence period is 1 July to 30 June each year.

In March each year the Board forwards the necessary paperwork to all eligible licensed property agents to apply to renew their licence.

Property Agents are required to

  • Complete a Disclosure and Declaration statement by 30 April 2025;
  • Pay prescribed fees by 30 April 2025 as indicated on the invoice;
  • Declare CPD undertaken which satisfies the licence condition on your individual licence;
  • Provide any documents or other information required by a licence condition by the due date indicated.

The declaration must only be completed by the individual named on the licence.

Every Property Agent who is eligible to renew their licence is emailed a licence renewal document.

Online Portal
The Board has designed an online portal for property agents to complete the disclosure and CPD declaration aspects of the licence renewal process.

Portal Instructions

Licence Fees

This year invoices will be forwarded to each property agent separately to the Application for Licence (Renewal) forms.

The invoice indicates the fee payable and is due by 30 April 2025.

Licence fee payment is via EFT or BPay or cheque.

Property Agents -  Conducting Business

Property Agents conducting business will receive an Application for Licence (Renewal) via email to the property agent managing the business.

An Invoice will be emailed to the property agent managing the business which will indicate the amount payable and the payment due date.

Property Agents who conduct business as individuals are required to complete their CPD declaration as appropriate.

Property Agents - Individuals

Property Agents receive via email their personalised
Application for Licence (Renewal) form.  This form contains all licence information and details of the CPD condition.

An invoice will be emailed to each individual property agent which will indicate the amount payable and the payment due date.

Lodgement Dates

All Disclosure documents must be lodged with the Property Agents Board by 30 April 2025.  Late fees apply for the late lodgement of licence applications (that is, received after 30 April 2025).

Licence fees are to be paid by 30 April 2025 (please note invoices will be emailed separately).

CPD and other information or documentation should be submitted by the due date indicated on the licence condition.

Key Points to Note

Every licence holder receives their own Application for Licence (Renewal) documentation.  The renewal can now be lodged through the online portal.

Any incorrect information should be amended.

Failure to complete any section will result in the form being returned for completion by the applicant.

Declarations of CPD should be submitted only once the CPD is undertaken.

All applications must be lodged with the Property Agents Board by 30 April 2025.  Late fees apply for the late lodgement of licence applications (that is, received after 30 April 2025).

Please note:

All renewal documentation must be received and the fees paid by 30 April 2025, otherwise a late fee will apply. Should any documentation or payment be received after 30 June 2025 a property agent is required to reapply for the licence.

Paper Copy

Property Agents still have the option to complete a paper based  Application for Licence (Renewal), disclosure and CPD declaration.

The Application for Licence (Renewal) will be emailed to all property agents.  Click on the buttons below to access the disclosure and declaration form and CPD declaration.
