Property Agents Board Executive Officer Appointment
The statutory authority regulating the real estate industry in Tasmania, the Property Agents Board has appointed Gina Gunn as Executive Officer.
Gina brings to the role deep expertise in tertiary education and Vocational Education & Training, finance, accounting, hospitality and tourism, across the corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors.
Her diverse career choices have been driven by her personal and professional passions – education, people development, strategic design, and operational implementation, change capitalisation, and the integration of collaborative partnerships to deliver sustainable and impactful results.
Gina’s professional roles most significantly with Federal Group, the Australian Institute of Management, CPA Australia and now as Executive Officer of the Property Agents Board have been supplemented by Board director appointments to government and not-for-profit boards and most recently as a member of the University of Tasmania’s Industry Advisory Board.

Meet the Team
Executive Officer
The Executive Officer is responsible for providing advice and assistance to the Board in its day-to-day operations. The Executive Officer is also responsible for ensuring that the Board’s policies and strategies for regulating the property industry are implemented and monitored.
The Executive Officer is also the Registrar of the Property Agents Tribunal, Secretary of the Property Agents Trust, and the Board’s Right to Information Officer.
Board Inspector
The Board Inspector conducts state-wide inspections of the trust accounts and statutory records of general auctioneers, real estate agents and property managers.
Complaints Officer
The Complaints Officer conducts assessments and prepares reports and initial action for the Board regarding complaints.
As directed by the Board, the Complaints Officer conducts investigations, or facilitates more complex investigations, and prepares reports on them for the Board.
The Complaints Officer is required to maintain effective communication and relationships with complainants and other parties, including the preparation of necessary correspondence and dealing with telephone enquiries relating to complaints.
Exam Coordinator
The Exam Coordinator is responsible for the management of the exam process for property representatives and general auctioneers.
The Exam Coordinator coordinates the examination venues and exam supervisors, maintains a list of candidates, prepares all papers and distributes them to regional locations. The Exam Coordinator also notifies candidates of results and maintains a register of examination results.
Licensing Coordinator
The Licensing Coordinator is responsible for the management of the licensing system for property agents established by the Property Agents and Land Transactions Act 2016.
The Licensing Coordinator assesses applications in each licence category and maintains the registers. She tracks legislative compliance of property agents and manages that correspondence.
Office Administrator
The Office Administrator provides the initial point of contact for face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries as well as undertaking general administration duties.
Operations and Office Manager
The Operations and Office Manager is responsible for running of the day to day operations and overseeing all staff in the Hobart Office, under the direction of the Executive Officer. Acting as second in charge to the Executive Officer, she provides high level advice and guidance in stakeholder communications and policy operation.
